Il Borro, an esteemed estate in Tuscany, has a rich history dating back to the early 1600s. In 1993, Ferruccio Ferragamo acquired the property, dedicating himself to revitalising its winemaking traditions. The 2018 'Il Borro' marks the 20th anniversary of the estate's flagship wine, reflecting a commitment to quality and innovation. This vintage is crafted from biodynamically and organically grown grapes, comprising 50% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 15% Syrah. The wine undergoes meticulous vinification, including fermentation in stainless steel tanks, malolactic fermentation in new Allier oak barrels, and an 18-month ageing period in barriques, followed by an additional 8 months in the bottle before release.

Appearance: The 2018 'Il Borro' presents a deep ruby red colour with purple highlights, indicating its concentration and potential for ageing. The core is intense and nearly opaque, suggesting a full-bodied structure, while the rim shows subtle garnet hues that hint at early development.
