Established in 1973 by David and Heather Watson, Woodlands is a celebrated family-run winery in the heart of Margaret River, Western Australia. Known for producing elegant, terroir-driven wines with remarkable purity and precision, Woodlands has become particularly renowned for its exceptional Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. The Brook Vineyard, planted on free-draining gravelly loam soils interspersed with clay and sandy sub-layers, enjoys Margaret River’s moderate maritime climate, benefiting from cooling ocean breezes and gentle ripening conditions. These ideal conditions foster grapes with vibrant acidity, expressive aromatics, and subtle mineral undertones. Grapes are carefully hand-picked and gently whole-bunch pressed, with fermentation conducted in French oak barrels, followed by thoughtful maturation on lees, creating remarkable depth, complexity, and refined texture while preserving freshness and elegance.

Appearance: Brilliant pale straw colour with delicate green-gold reflections, demonstrating youthful freshness and exceptional clarity. Medium viscosity gently coats the glass, forming elegant, slow-moving legs indicative of its balanced and refined structure.

Aroma: Expressive, inviting bouquet of ripe white peach, green apple, and citrus zest, complemented beautifully by delicate floral notes of white blossom and subtle jasmine. Gentle hints of toasted almond, fresh pastry, and wet-stone minerality further enhance complexity and intrigue.

Taste: Elegantly structured palate, presenting vibrant flavours of ripe orchard fruits, lemon curd, and subtle tropical nuances harmoniously balanced by refined notes of almond pastry, brioche, and mineral freshness.
