2020 Almaviva

Almaviva 2020 is a prestigious Bordeaux-inspired Chilean red from Puente Alto, combining Cabernet Sauvignon with complementary Bordeaux varieties to deliver depth, precision and remarkable polish. Concentrated yet refined, it layers cassis and dark plum with graphite, cedar, spice and fine-grained tannins, offering both immediate complexity and strong ageing potential.

Appearance:

Deep ruby red with purple highlights and a dense, polished core.

Aroma:

Complex aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and dark plum are layered with violet, graphite and cedar. Subtle notes of tobacco, cocoa, dried herbs and warm spice add further depth.

Taste:

Full-bodied and finely structured, with concentrated cassis, black cherry and plum supported by fresh acidity and firm, polished tannins. Savoury herbs, dark chocolate, cedar and mineral notes provide complexity and balance.

Finish:

Very long and persistent, with lingering dark fruit, graphite, tobacco and finely textured tannins.
