Frescobaldi Tenuta Calimaia Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2021 is a refined Tuscan red centred on Sangiovese, combining ripe cherry fruit with savoury herbs, spice and finely structured tannins. Elegant yet generous, it reflects the warmth of the vintage while retaining freshness, balance and the earthy complexity typical of Montepulciano.

Appearance:

Deep ruby red with garnet highlights and a bright, polished core.

Aroma:

Layered aromas of ripe cherry, red plum and blackberry are complemented by violet, dried herbs and subtle tobacco. Notes of cedar, liquorice and warm spice add further complexity.

Taste:

Medium to full-bodied and structured, with flavours of dark cherry, plum and red berries supported by fresh acidity and firm, fine-grained tannins. Savoury herbs, spice and a gentle earthy character provide depth and balance.

Finish:

Long and persistent, with lingering cherry, tobacco, dried herbs and polished tannins.
