Cortonesi 'La Mannella' Brunello 2016

Cortonesi ‘La Mannella’ Brunello di Montalcino 2016 is a poised and expressive Sangiovese from one of Tuscany’s most celebrated vintages. Produced from the La Mannella estate’s vineyards in northern Montalcino, it combines ripe fruit, savoury depth and classical structure with the elegance and longevity expected of fine Brunello.

Appearance:

Deep ruby red with garnet highlights developing at the rim.

Aroma:

Layered aromas of black cherry, ripe plum and dried red berries are joined by violet, tobacco, leather, sweet spice and subtle earthy notes.

Taste:

Full-bodied and finely structured, with concentrated cherry and dark berry fruit supported by firm, polished tannins. Notes of dried herbs, cedar, liquorice and warm spice add complexity, while vibrant acidity keeps the palate balanced and energetic.

Finish:

Long, dry and persistent, with lingering red fruit, tobacco, spice and savoury mineral tones.
