Le Pottazine Rosso di Montalcino 2024

Le Potazzine Rosso di Montalcino 2024 is a graceful, traditionally styled Sangiovese from the estate’s high-altitude vineyards near Montalcino. Crafted by Gigliola Gianetti and her daughters, Viola and Sofia, it offers the purity and refinement of the property’s Brunello in a more youthful, immediately expressive form.

Appearance:

Bright ruby red with vivid crimson highlights and excellent clarity.

Aroma:

Fragrant red cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry mingle with violet, rose petal and blood orange. Subtle notes of dried herbs, sweet spice and crushed stone add savoury complexity.

Taste:

Fresh and finely composed, with vibrant red fruit, lively acidity and supple, well-defined tannins. Sour cherry and red plum are complemented by orange peel, Mediterranean herbs and a delicate earthy minerality.

Finish:

Clean, energetic and persistent, with lingering red berries, floral notes and gentle savoury spice.

Food Pairing:

Ideal with pappardelle al ragù, grilled pork, roast chicken, mushroom risotto, tomato-based pasta or aged Pecorino.
