Château Mont-Redon, established in 1344, is a historic estate renowned for its exceptional Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines. In 1997, the estate expanded into the Lirac appellation, applying its extensive expertise to cultivate vineyards that produce wines of remarkable depth and character. The Lirac vineyards benefit from a terroir rich in red clay and limestone soils, combined with the Mediterranean climate, which imparts unique complexity and richness to the wines.

Appearance: The wine presents a deep, dark red colour with a clear, intense hue. Swirling the glass reveals medium viscosity, with well-defined legs slowly descending, indicating a balanced alcohol content. The rim displays subtle purple tinges, reflecting its youth and vibrancy.

Aroma: On the nose, this Lirac Rouge offers an aromatic bouquet of violets and blueberries, complemented by hints of blackcurrant, blackberries, and spices.

Taste: The palate is generous and full-bodied, with flavours of ripe black cherries, dried thyme, and cardamom. Well-integrated tannins provide texture, enhancing the wine's richness and depth.

Finish: The finish is long and lingering, carrying a subtle saline quality that adds freshness and balance. Notes of dark fruit, savoury spice, and a touch of minerality leave a refined and elegant impression, making it a wine that continues to evolve in the glass.

Food Pairing: This wine pairs wonderfully with roasted meats, slow-cooked lamb, and dishes with Mediterranean herbs. It also complements hearty vegetable stews and aged cheeses, enhancing the dining experience with its bold yet balanced character.
