Te Mata Bullnose Syrah 2023

Te Mata Bullnose Syrah 2023 is a polished, expressive Hawke’s Bay Syrah from one of New Zealand’s most established producers. Fragrant and finely structured, it combines ripe dark fruit, violet perfume and peppery spice with savoury complexity, freshness and beautifully integrated tannins.

Appearance:

Deep ruby with vivid purple highlights and excellent clarity.

Aroma:

Perfumed aromas of blackberry, blueberry and dark cherry are layered with violet, cracked black pepper and dried herbs. Subtle notes of liquorice, smoked meat and warm spice add depth.

Taste:

Medium to full-bodied and finely balanced, with ripe dark fruit supported by fresh acidity and supple, finely grained tannins. Blackberry, plum and black cherry are complemented by pepper, savoury herbs and a gentle smoky character.

Finish:

Long, elegant and persistent, with lingering dark fruit, violet, pepper and savoury spice.

Food Pairing:

Excellent with roast lamb, grilled beef, venison, duck, mushroom dishes or aged hard cheeses.
