Cobaw Ridge L'altra 2024

Cobaw Ridge L’altra 2024 is a vibrant, savoury light red from the Macedon Ranges, made with Syrah, Pinot Noir and Lagrein. Produced by Alan and Nelly Cooper with a biodynamic, low-intervention philosophy, it combines juicy red and dark fruit with herbs, earthy complexity and fine tannins. Bright enough to enjoy with a light chill, it retains the depth and structure expected from Cobaw Ridge.

Appearance:

Bright ruby red with purple highlights and a translucent, youthful edge.

Aroma:

Fragrant aromas of raspberry, sour cherry and blackberry are layered with violets, cracked pepper and dried herbs. Subtle earthy notes and gentle spice add complexity.

Taste:

Light to medium-bodied and energetic, with juicy red cherry, blackberry and plum supported by lively acidity and fine, savoury tannins. Pepper, herbs and a subtle mineral-earthy character give the palate depth while maintaining freshness.

Finish:

Fresh and persistent, with lingering red berries, pepper, herbs and gently grippy tannins.

Food Pairing:

Excellent lightly chilled with charcuterie, grilled lamb, roast chicken, pork, mushroom dishes, wood-fired pizza or Mediterranean vegetables.
