Rijk’s Wine Estate is a boutique, family-owned winery located in Tulbagh, South Africa. The estate is named after Rijk Tulbagh, the Dutch governor of the Cape during the mid-18th century, after whom the town of Tulbagh is also named. Established in 1996 by Neville Dorrington, Rijk’s was founded with a bold vision: to produce premium wines that fully express the unique terroir of this secluded valley. Within a few short years, Rijk’s achieved notable success, gaining both local and international acclaim.

Nestled at the foot of the Witzenberg and Winterhoek mountains, Rijk’s benefits from a Mediterranean climate characterised by warm days, cool nights, and a significant difference between day and night temperatures.
