Domaine A Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Domaine A Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 is a mature, Bordeaux-inspired red from the historic Stoney Vineyard in Tasmania’s Coal River Valley. Crafted by Peter Althaus, it combines concentrated dark fruit, distinctive cool-climate freshness and generous oak maturation with a firm, age-worthy structure.

Appearance:

Deep ruby with garnet highlights and a dense, polished core.

Aroma:

Intense aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and dark plum unfold alongside cedar, tobacco leaf, dried herbs, graphite and dark chocolate.

Taste:

Full-bodied and richly textured, with concentrated cassis, blackberry and Morello cherry flavours. Fine acidity brings freshness, while firm chalky tannins, savoury spice and well-integrated oak provide depth and structure.

Finish:

Long and persistent, leaving lingering notes of black fruit, cedar, tobacco and earthy spice.

Food Pairing:

Ideal with roast lamb, grilled rib-eye, venison, braised beef cheeks, wild mushroom dishes or mature cheddar.
