Dublin St. Pinot Noir Library Edition 2014 is a distinguished red wine from the Martinborough region in New Zealand, produced by the boutique Dublin St. winery. This single-vineyard Pinot Noir is crafted from their 3.5-hectare dry-farmed vineyard located on Dublin Street in Martinborough, reflecting the unique terroir of the area.

The 2014 vintage experienced favourable growing conditions, allowing for optimal ripeness and flavour development. The winemaking process involved hand harvesting the fruit, followed by fermentation in small open-top vats. The wine was then basket pressed and aged for 10 months in French oak barrels, contributing to its complexity and structure.

Appearance: Medium dark red hue, indicating its maturity and depth.

Aroma: Lifted bright nose with dried plum and dense ripe cherry notes, complemented by subtle earthy undertones.

Taste: Silky and well-structured, the palate reveals layers of ripe red cherry, blackberry, and plum, balanced by earthy notes of truffle, forest floor, and dried herbs. The oak influence is delicate, adding hints of spice, cedar, and a touch of vanilla. The tannins are fine and well-integrated, providing structure without overwhelming the fruit.

Finish: Long and refined, with lingering notes of dark berries, savoury spice, and a touch of dried rose petal. The acidity remains vibrant, keeping the wine fresh and balanced, while subtle hints of clove and leather add depth to the aftertaste.

Food Pairing: This Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with beef, veal, poultry, and game (venison), where its fruitiness and savory notes complement the richness of these dishes.
