Fasoli Gino 'Orgno' Merlot 2016

Fasoli Gino Orgno 2016 is a rich, mature Veneto red with concentrated dark fruit, warm spice and savoury complexity. Full-bodied and generous, it combines ripe plum and black cherry with cocoa, dried herbs and evolved tertiary notes, while polished tannins and balanced acidity give the wine depth and persistence.

Appearance:

Deep garnet red with brick-toned highlights and a dense, mature core.

Aroma:

Layered aromas of black cherry, dried plum and blackberry are complemented by tobacco, leather and dried Mediterranean herbs. Notes of cocoa, liquorice and warm spice add further complexity.

Taste:

Full-bodied and richly textured, with dark cherry, plum and black berry fruit supported by fresh acidity and smooth, resolved tannins. Savoury herbs, dark chocolate, tobacco and gentle spice bring depth and maturity.

Finish:

Long, warming and persistent, with lingering dark fruit, cocoa, leather and fine savoury tannins.
