Kay Brothers Griffon’s Key Grenache 2021 is a powerful yet finely detailed expression of McLaren Vale Grenache. Crafted by Duncan Kennedy, it combines generous red-fruit intensity with savoury spice, polished tannins and the depth expected from mature vineyard material.

Appearance:

Deep ruby with bright crimson highlights.

Aroma:

Lifted aromas of raspberry, red cherry and ripe strawberry are layered with dried herbs, rose petal, cracked pepper and subtle earthy spice.

Taste:

Rich and expressive, with flavours of red plum, raspberry conserve and dark cherry. Fine-grained tannins provide structure, while fresh acidity, savoury spice and restrained oak bring balance and definition.

Finish:

Long and warming, with lingering red fruit, dried herbs, pepper and gentle earthy complexity.

Food Pairing:

Well suited to slow-roasted lamb, grilled pork, duck breast, charred vegetables, mushroom dishes or aged Manchego.
