Ferrari, one of Italy's most prestigious sparkling wine producers, is renowned for its traditional method sparkling wines that rival the best from Champagne. The Ferrari 'Giulio Ferrari' Riserva del Fondatore Rosé 2008 is an extraordinary vintage rosé made to honour the estate’s founder, Giulio Ferrari. This wine, crafted from a meticulous blend of predominantly Pinot Noir and a small portion of Chardonnay, is produced using the metodo classico (traditional method), which involves extended aging on the lees. The 2008 vintage reflects Ferrari’s commitment to quality, with more than a decade of maturation, resulting in a rosé sparkling wine of incredible complexity, depth, and finesse.

The unique Trentino terroir, with its high-altitude vineyards and cool climate, contributes to the wine’s vibrant acidity and elegant structure.

Appearance: A striking coppery pink with fine, persistent bubbles, reflecting its long aging and elegance.

Aroma: The nose is complex and inviting, with aromas of wild strawberries, raspberries, and red currants, intertwined with delicate notes of rose petals, toasted brioche, and a hint of spice. There is also a subtle touch of almond and dried fruits from the extended lees aging.

Taste: On the palate, this rosé is refined and beautifully balanced, with flavours of ripe red berries, such as strawberry and raspberry, complemented by notes of citrus, almond, and a touch of vanilla. The mousse is creamy and persistent, while the bright acidity provides a refreshing lift, harmonizing perfectly with the wine’s rich texture.

Finish: The finish is long and elegant, with lingering notes of red fruit, toasty brioche, and a delicate minerality, showcasing the wine’s complexity and aging potential.

Food pairing: This prestigious rosé sparkling wine pairs beautifully with refined dishes such as lobster, foie gras, or seared scallops, where the wine’s richness and acidity complement the delicacy of the food. It also works well with aged cheeses or even roasted duck, enhancing the savoury flavours and adding a refreshing contrast.
