The Henschke family has been producing exceptional wines since 1868, making it one of Australia’s oldest and most respected wine producers. The Mount Edelstone Shiraz is one of their flagship wines, first produced in 1952. This wine comes from a single vineyard planted in 1912, showcasing the heritage and dedication of the Henschke family to crafting outstanding wines.

Mount Edelstone, meaning "gemstone hill," is located in the Eden Valley, part of the Barossa zone in South Australia. The region is known for its cool climate and high altitude, which contribute to the wine's complexity and elegance. The vineyard's old vines, deep sandy loam soils, and sustainable viticulture practices further enhance the wine's distinctive character.

Appearance:
Deep garnet with a vibrant purple hue, indicating its youth and potential for aging.

Aroma:
Intense and complex, with layers of blackberry, plum, and black cherry, complemented by notes of anise, pepper, and dark chocolate. Subtle hints of dried herbs and earth add depth.

Taste:
Full-bodied and rich, with a core of ripe dark fruits such as blackberry and plum. The palate is balanced by fine-grained tannins and bright acidity. Secondary flavors of spice, licorice, and mocha add to the wine's complexity.
